    Comment Bag filters or fabric filters are used for treating dust collected at various sources throughout the production site. The waste gas is passed through a fabric, where particulate matter is collected on the surface. The dust caking on the fabric increases the likelihood of more dust adhering to the fabric and hence increases the removal efficiency. Bag filters are cleaned periodically and the collected dust is used as a fuel. The use of a bag filter requires the selection of a fabric adequate for the characteristics of the flue-gas and the maximum operating temperature.
