2. (a) I gcás nach mbeidh comhaontú curtha i gcrích ag an gComhphobal, féadfaidh Ballstát nó an Ghníomhaireacht deimhnithe a eisiúint ar bhonn deimhniúchán arna eisiúint ag údaráis inniúla tríú tír agus comhaontú á chur i bhfeidhm acu a rinne an Ballstát sin leis an tríú tír roimh theacht i bhfeidhm fhorálacha gaolmhara an Rialacháin seo agus ar tugadh fógra faoi don Choimisiún agus do na Ballstáit eile.
2. (a) In the absence of an agreement concluded by the Community, a Member State or the Agency may issue certificates on the basis of certifications issued by the competent authorities of a third country in application of an agreement concluded by that Member State with the third country in question before the entry into force of the related provisions of this Regulation and notified to the Commission and the other Member States.
ciallaíonn "teastas dochtúra", maidir le scor aon chomhalta, teastas dochtúra ar deimhin leis an Aire ina leith, le comh-aontú Aire na Seirbhíse Poiblí, go bhfuil an comhalta lena mbaineann an teastas éagumasaithe i ngeall ar éiglíocht meabhrach nó coirp ó dhualgais a phoist san Fhórsa a chomhlíonadh agus gur dóigh don éiglíocht sin a bheith buan;
"medical certificate" means, in relation to the retirement of any member, a medical certificate having regard to which the Minister, with the agreement of the Minister for the Public Service, is satisfied that the member to whom the certificate relates is incapable from infirmity of mind or body of discharging the duties of his situation in the Force and that that infirmity is likely to be permanent;

(2) Neither a certificate of indebtedness nor any agreement, receipt, bill of exchange, promissory note, mortgage, bond, covenant, or other instrument embodied or contained in a certificate of indebtedness and relating to the transaction to which such certificate relates shall be or, in the case of a certificate of indebtedness bearing date before the date of the passing of this Act, ever have been liable to any stamp duty whatsoever, and no certificate of indebtedness and no such instrument as aforesaid embodied or contained in a certificate of indebtedness shall be prevented from being given in evidence or being made available for any purpose merely by reason of the fact that no stamp duty had been paid in respect thereof.

( b ) A registered medical practitioner shall not signify under this subsection his agreement with a medical certificate relating to a person if such practitioner is the husband or wife, father, step-father or father-in-law, mother, step-mother or mother-in-law, son, step-son or son-in-law, daughter, step-daughter or daughter-in-law, brother, step-brother or brother-in-law, sister, step-sister or sister-in-law, or guardian or trustee of the person.

—The fees to be paid to certifying doctors for carrying out their duties under this Act shall, so far as they relate to any examination or certificate with respect to the fitness of a young person for employment in a factory or to any examination or medical supervision of persons employed in a factory carried out in pursuance of regulations or an order under this Act, be paid by the occupier of that factory, and in any other case shall be paid by the Minister, and the fees shall be of such amounts as may be prescribed, but without prejudice to any agreement between a certifying doctor and the occupier of a factory for the payment by the occupier of fees of greater amounts than those prescribed.

This Regulation should enter into force as a matter of urgency and should apply from the day following the end of the transition period, unless an agreement between the European Union and the United Kingdom governing matters of civil aviation safety related to design certificates addressed in this Regulation has entered into force or provisionally applies by that date,
Ní bheidh feidhm ag an Rialachán seo más rud é, maidir le comhaontú idir an tAontas agus an Ríocht Aontaithe lena rialaítear ábhair sábháilteachta don eitlíocht shibhialta a bhaineann leis na deimhnithe deartha dá dtagraítear in Airteagal 1(2) den Rialachán seo, go dtagann an comhaontú sin i bhfeidhm nó, atá curtha i bhfeidhm go sealadach, de réir mar a bheidh, faoin dáta dá dtagraítear i mír 2 den Airteagal seo.
This Regulation shall not apply if an agreement between the Union and the United Kingdom governing matters of civil aviation safety related to the design certificates referred to in Article 1(2) of this Regulation has entered into force or, as the case may be, provisionally applies by the date referred to in paragraph 2 of this Article.

By way of derogation from points 21.B.125(d)(1) and (2) of Annex I (Part 21), an organisation that produces products, parts or appliances without an approval certificate and that holds a valid letter of agreement issued in accordance with Annex I (Part 21) may correct, until 7 March 2025, any findings of non-compliance related to the Annex I requirements introduced by Implementing Regulation (EU) 2022/203.

If the results of one of the tests referred to in paragraph 1 show that the product analysed does not correspond to what is indicated on the authenticity certificate, the import duty on husked rice falling within CN code 100620, provided for by the Agreement in the form of an Exchange of Letters between the European Community and the United States relating to the method of calculation of applied duties for husked rice, approved by Council Decision 2005/476/EC, shall apply.

In order to ensure uniform conditions for the implementation of this Regulation as regards imports and inward processing arrangements, implementing powers should also be conferred on the Commission in respect of measures to manage the process guaranteeing that the quantities available within the tariff quotas are not exceeded, and measures to reallocate unused quantities of the tariff quota, safeguard measures against imports into the Union in accordance with Council Regulations (EC) No 260/2009(16)and (EC) No 625/2009(17)or safeguard measures provided for in international agreements, measures concerning the quantity of agricultural products for which inward processing certificates may be issued, measures on the implementation of the inward processing certificate system as regards required documents and procedures for lodging applications and issuing inwa rd processing certificates, measures on the management of the inward processing certificates by the Member States, the procedures relating to administrative assistance between the Member States, measures limiting the quantities for which inward processing certificates may be issued, rejecting quantities applied for in respect of those certificates and suspending the lodging of applications for inward processing certificates where large quantities are applied for, and measures suspending the use of processing or inward processing arrangements for ovalbumin and lactalbumin.
