The 2005 International Convention for the Suppression of Acts of Nuclear Terrorism (ICSANT) is one of the 19 international legal instruments against terrorism, essential for international peace and security.

The regional workshops and table-top exercises will enhance the capacity of Member States in detection, forensics, response and mitigation of radiological and nuclear terrorism including the use of a tailored methodology to assist national authorities to effectively implement ICSANT and enhance international cooperation, demonstrating the importance of being party to the Convention.
