(a) Déanfar an meastachán géarthocsaineachta (ATE) maidir le haicmiú substainte nó comhábhair i meascán a dhíorthú trí úsáid a bhaint as na nithe seo a leanas:
(a) The acute toxicity estimate (ATE) for the classification of a substance or ingredient in a mixture is derived using:

Ingredients that fall within the scope of this paragraph are considered to be ingredients with a known acute toxicity estimate (ATE).

(b) where a classified mixture is used as an ingredient of another mixture, the actual or derived acute toxicity estimate (ATE) for that mixture may be used, when calculating the classification of the new mixture using the formulas in section 3.1.3.6.1 and paragraph 3.1.3.6.2.3.

acute toxicity category 1 and 2 for any route of uptake, provided the ATE (acute toxicity estimate) of the product does not exceed 25 mg/kg bw for the oral route of uptake or 0,25 mg/l/4h for the inhalation of dust, mist or fume;
