    Definition --- Reference La nourriture est une des opérations du corroyage. Elle consiste à incorporer au cuir une quantité variable de matières grasses, afin de lui donner de la souplesse et de l'imperméabilité. Si le cuir est sec, on l'imprègne de suif; s'il est humide, on l'imprègne d'une matière grasse liquide contenant de l'eau en émulsion ("mise en huile").
