    Comment Glattrochen (Dipturus, früher Raja batis) gehören als echte Rochen (Familie Rajidae IATE:906812 ) zur Ordnung der Rochen (Rajiformes IATE:850505 ) innerhalb der Überordnung Squalea, die wiederum zu den Knorpelfischen (Chondrichtyes) gehört. Damit sind Glattrochen relativ eng verwandt mit squaliformen Haien wie dem Dornhai IATE:785461 .

    Comment Les dernières recherches scientifiques semblent indiquer que cette espèce (Dipturus batis) serait en fait constituée d'un complexe de deux espèces (nommées pour le moment Dipturus cf. flossada et Dipturus cf. intermedia). Cette nouvelle dénomination n'a toutefois pas encore été validée par la Commission internationale de nomenclature zoologique.Voir aussi complexe d'espèces de pocheteau gris [IATE:3552831 ].
