Following the adoption of the EU-UK Trade and Cooperation Agreement on 24 December 2020, the Commission decided, at its meeting on 19 January 2021, to abolish UKTF with effect from 1 March 2021, and to replace it with a new EU-UK Agreements Service (SG.UKS), which will report to the Deputy Secretary-General responsible for interinstitutional and external relations.
