- Comment A Friends of the Presidency (FoP) working party for the IMP was convened for the first time during the Portuguese Presidency for the purpose of launching the EU Integrated Maritime Policy. Since then all Presidencies (with the exception of Slovenia) have been working, in the framework of the Friends of Presidency working group, on preparing Council conclusions on IMP in order to support the Commission in its effort to establish this horizontal and cross-cutting new EU policy, and in order to welcome its introduction.
