    Comment Currently, the immune checkpoints that are most targeted in immunotherapy are CTLA-4 and PD-1. Two of the researchers, Drs James P. Allison and Tasuku Honjo, who pioneered the study of these checkpoint blockades, received the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine in 2018.
