- Comment The OACPS was established by the Revised Georgetown Agreement and replaced the African, Caribbean and Pacific Group of states (ACP).The main goals of the OACPS are:- sustainable development of its Member-States and their gradual integration into the global economy, which entails making poverty reduction a matter of priority and establishing a new, fairer, and more equitable world order;- coordination of the activities of the OACPS in the framework of the implementation of ACP-EC Partnership Agreements;- consolidation of unity and solidarity among ACP States, as well as understanding among their peoples;- establishment and consolidation of peace and stability in a free and democratic society.The OACPS, with the exception of Cuba, are signatories to the ACP-EU Partnership Agreement (Cotonou Agreement) and have initialled its successor, the OACPS-EU Partnership Agreement.

- Comment L'OEACP compte 79 États membres, tous, à l'exception de Cuba, signataires de l'Accord de Cotonou qui les lie à l'Union européenne: 48 pays d'Afrique sub-saharienne, 16 pays de la Caraïbe et 15 pays du Pacifique (2.6.2020).Le Groupe des États d'Afrique, des Caraïbes et du Pacifique est officiellement devenu l'"Organisation des États d'Afrique, des Caraïbes et du Pacifique" le 5 avril 2020. Ce changement de dénomination fait suite à l'entrée en vigueur de l'Accord de Georgetown révisé, qui a été approuvé par les chefs d'État et de gouvernement ACP lors de leur 9e Sommet tenu en décembre 2019 à Nairobi, au Kenya.
