Elle traite les questions concernant: 1. le suivi des relations économiques, financières et commerciales entre l’Union européenne et les partenaires d’Europe orientale, avec les pays tiers et les organisations régionales, 2. les relations avec les organisations internationales concernées (notamment l’Organisation mondiale du commerce) et avec les organisations oeuvrant au niveau régional à promouvoir l’intégration économique et commerciale, 3. l’harmonisation de l’environnement réglementaire et les mesures de normalisation dans les secteurs couverts par les instruments du droit international, 4. les questions relatives au financement du partenariat, notamment le suivi de la mise en oeuvre des concours accordés par la Banque européenne d’investissement et d’autres instruments et mécanismes de ce type, 5. le développement durable, les ressources naturelles, le changement climatique et la gouvernance environnementale, 6. le renforcement de l’interconnexion des réseaux de transport et de télécommunication, 7. les investissements dans les actions régionales et la coopération transfrontalière.
