- Comment The Eastern Neighbourhood countries are: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine. The Eastern Neighbours Follow-up Committee was established in 2004 as a dedicated EESC body responsible for relations with civil society in the Eastern Neighbourhood countries. The Follow-up Committee usually meets four times a year and discusses current issues relating to the Eastern Neighbourhood countries, often inviting representatives from other European institutions, outside experts, civil society organisations and others.
