- Comment In such cases the national court in question, acting under Article 267 TFEU, asks the Court of Justice to issue a preliminary ruling (see "preliminary ruling" IATE:796719 and preliminary ruling procedure IATE:1134092 ). Such challenges are an alternative to the "direct actions" IATE:852775 that legal or natural persons can bring before the Court under Article 263 TFEU in cases where EU legislation directly affects them.
