Sur la base de l'avis de l'instance, l'institution décide de l'engagement d'une procédure visant à mettre en cause la responsabilité disciplinaire ou pécuniaire. Si l'instance a décelé des problèmes systémiques, elle transmet à l'ordonnateur et à l'ordonnateur délégué si celui-ci n'est pas en cause, ainsi qu'à l'auditeur interne un rapport assorti de recommandations.
