- Nóta Depuis 2005, elle est sous l’égide des chefs d’État espagnol, belge, luxembourgeois, autrichien et allemand. Des personnalités politiques, économiques et sociales de l’Europe entière coopèrent au sein des groupes de la Fondation.Complétant les remises de prix, elles prennent des initiatives pour l’unification européenne. La Fondation a créé deux nouveaux forums de discussion: le « colloque Prix Charlemagne » au Parlement européen à Bruxelles et le « Forum Prix Charlemagne-Europe », ayant lieu la veille de le remise du prix à Aix-la-Chapelle.Avec le Parlement européen, la Fondation décerne en outre le « Prix Charlemagne pour la jeunesse européenne ».Source: ibid.
