- Sainmhíniú Group of 19 members (including heads of state or government, high-level officials from government ministries and central banks, experts on public finance, development and related issues) set up in February 2010 by the UN Secretary-General to mobilize financial resources through the development of practical proposals to scale up financing for mitigation and adaptation strategies in developing countries. The Group will also investigate how to mobilise resources from the public and private sectors to reach the goal of US$100 billion in financing to developing countries annually by 2020.
