Comment Les subsides, encore désignées sous l'appellation d'aliments, constituent un secours financier qui se présente comme un substitut à l'obligation d'entretien en nature. Les subsides sont versées en l'absence de filiation, en fonction des élements de preuve sur les rapports entre le père et la mère à la date de la conception, alors que la prestation alimentaire est versée une fois le lien de filiation établi. L'action peut être exercée pendant toute la minorité de l'enfant et, si elle ne l'a pas été pendant cette période, dans les dix ans qui suivent sa majorité. L'action est recevable même si le père ou la mère était au temps de la conception, engagé dans les liens du mariage avec une autre personne, ou s'il existait entre eux un des empêchements à mariage.
