- Nóta The CMP meets once a year during the same period as the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change [ IATE:886296 ] to reduce costs and improve coordination between the Convention and the Protocol. Parties to the Convention that are not Parties to the Protocol are able to participate in the CMP as observers, but without the right to take decisions.
