- Nóta Instrumental in shaping and orienting Turkey-EU relations, the aim of the EU-Türkiye Association Council is to implement the Association Agreement in political, economic and commercial issues. It meets twice a year at ministerial level and takes decisions unanimously – Turkey and the EU side have one vote each.The Government of the Republic of Türkiye notified the United Nations in May 2022 and the Council of the European Union in June 2022 that it would begin using ‘Republic of Türkiye’ as the official name of the country in English and ‘Türkiye’ as a short form, replacing ‘Republic of Turkey’ and ‘Turkey’.

- Nóta À la suite d'une demande officielle adressée par la Turquie au Conseil en juin 2022, il a été décidé d'utiliser en anglais les termes Türkiye/Republic of Türkiye (à la place de Turkey/Republic of Turkey). Cette décision n'a pas d'incidence sur la pratique en français et les appellations Turquie/République de Turquie doivent être conservées.
