    Comment Wer in Deutschland über das gesetzliche Rentenalter von aktuell 65 Jahren und vier Monaten (Jahrgang 1950) und demnächst 67 Jahren hinaus arbeiten will, darf dies tun. Rechtlich gesehen ist das ohne weiteres möglich. Denn das Arbeitsverhältnis von Beschäftigten, die das reguläre Rentenalter erreichen, endet nicht unbedingt automatisch. Zwar regeln viele Arbeits- oder Tarifverträge, dass das Arbeitsverhältnis mit dem gesetzlichen Rentenbeginn endet, aber dies muss eben dort fixiert sein, sonst besteht das Arbeitsverhältnis über den Rentenbeginn fort. In den Fällen, in denen Arbeits- oder Tarifverträge Altersgrenzen für Beschäftigte enthalten, endet das Arbeitsverhältnis, wenn die Arbeitnehmer das gesetzliche Rentenalter erreichen – es sei denn, sie treffen mit ihrem Arbeitgeber eine andere Vereinbarung.
