    Comment n.b. dimethyl ether can be handled as a liquid when lightly pressurized. It has a molar mass of 46.07 g mol−1, a melting point of -141 °C and a boiling point -24 °C and its molecular formula is CH3OCH3. It is used as a substitute fuel (for propane in liquefied gas petroleum) in households and industry, as a propellant in aerosol canisters, and as a precursor [ IATE:1584157 ] to dimethyl sulfate.
