    Comment The motor disorders of cerebral palsy are often accompanied by disturbances of sensation, cognition, communication, perception, and/or behaviour, and/or by a seizure disorder. Doctors classify cerebral palsy according to the type of movement disorder involved: spastic (stiff muscles), dyskinetic / athetoid (writhing movements), ataxic (poor balance and coordination), or mixed (symptoms that don’t correspond to any single type of cerebral palsy).
