However, bone cancer [ IATE:3546019 ] is a broader concept that comprises bone sarcomas and bony metastases (secondary bone cancers), i.e. cancers that have spread from another primary tumour into a bone.The four most common types of bone sarcoma are: osteosarcoma [ IATE:1538404 ], Ewing's sarcoma [ IATE:1516746 ], Chondrosarcoma [ IATE:1685741 ] and Spindle cell sarcoma.     Comment Dans le cadre du SIDA, le sarcome de Kaposi peut prendre deux types d'aspect: dans 30% des cas environ, une forme localisée peu extensive, tout au moins à son début et, dans 70% des cas, une forme plus agressive avec localisations viscérales multiples, s'associant alors fréquemment à une infection opportuniste. La tumeur débute volontiers au niveau des extrémités, voire au niveau de la plante des pieds par une lésion nodulaire infiltrée, rouge, marron ou violacée, évoluant progressivement vers des lésions en plaques éventuellement douloureuses. Toutes les parties du corps peuvent être touchées. Les lésions muqueuses, en particulier celles touchant le palais, sont souvent inaugurales. Des localisations viscérales multiples peuvent apparaître par la suite, en particulier digestives et pulmonaires. Dans les formes très évoluées, on peut observer un lymphoedème au niveau des membres inférieurs ou du visage. Malgré l'aspect agressif de certaines formes de sarcome de Kaposi, cette tumeur est rarement la cause directe du décès des patients, en dehors des formes pulmonaires asphyxiantes ou de très exceptionnelles formes digestives hémorragiques.
