NÓTA To be included on the WHO list, antimicrobial agents must meet two criteria: <br>1. They must be the sole therapy, or one of limited available therapies, to treat serious human disease, and<br>2. They must be used to treat diseases caused by either: (1) organisms that may be transmitted to humans from non-human sources or, (2) human diseases causes by organisms that may acquire resistance genes from non-human sources.
