NÓTA The convention was signed in Berne in 1980 and entered into force on 1 May 1985.<br> It replaced two earlier conventions, the International Convention concerning the Carriage of Goods by Rail (CIM) and the International Convention concerning the Carriage of Passengers and Luggage by Rail (CIV).
