    Comment Established by the Security Council's resolution 1996 (2011) of 8 July 2011 for an initial period of one year, as a successor mission to UNMIS IATE:2205591. Consisting of up to 7 000 military personnel, including military liaison officers and staff officers, up to 900 civilian police personnel, its mandate covers three areas:1. Support for peace consolidation and thereby fostering longer-term state building and economic development 2. Support for the Government of the Republic of South Sudan in exercising its responsibilities for conflict prevention, mitigation, and resolution and protection of civilians 3. Support the Government of the Republic of South Sudan in developing its capacity to provide security, to establish rule of law, and to strengthen the security and justice sectors.

Les lettres majuscules et minuscules des termes et des contextes ont été adaptées conformément aux règles d'écriture du Code de rédaction interinstitutionnel (10.2. Majuscules et minuscules)".
