- Comment La nicotine est le principal alcaloïde du tabac, représentant 90 à 95 % du contenu total en alcaloïdes. À faible dose, elle a un effet stimulant, et à forte dose, elle est hautement toxique, provoque nausées et vomissements, puis la mort par paralysie respiratoire.
