    Eltern-Kind-Verhältnis | Kindschaftsverhältnis
    de
    parenthood | parentage | parent-child relationship
    en
Comment Parenthood and parentage are not quite synonymous. They are not interchangeable in all contexts: For example, a person might be described as of mixed parentage, but not of mixed parenthood. A person might be asked about the responsibilities of parenthood, but not of parentage. HFEA part 2 is headed 'Parenthood in cases involving assisted reproduction'. Determining the parenthood of a child born by assisted reproduction requires determination of mother and father of child. Regulation (EC) No 2201/2003 'does not apply to the establishment of parenthood, since this is a different matter from the attribution of parental responsibility' (Opinion of AG Kokott in C-345/06 CELEX:62006CC0435/EN ).
    filiation
    fr
[Gérard Cornu, "Vocabulaire juridique", PUF, Paris, 2008, ISBN 978-2-13-055986-3, p.410]
