Sainmhíniú metric for estimating the climate impact of individual factors that drive climate change, commonly defined as the perturbation to the balance between the solar radiation energy that impinges on the Earth-atmosphere system, also known as insolation, and the energy that is radiated back out into space Tagairt "'radiative forcing' (27.1.2020). UNTerm"
Nóta "Typically, radiative forcing is measured at the tropopause in units of watts per square meter of earth's surface. A positive forcing (more incoming energy) warms the system, while negative forcing (more outgoing energy) cools it. Causes of radiative forcing include changes in insolation (incident solar radiation) and in concentrations of radiatively active gases and aerosols. Not to be confused with the generic term climate forcing although quite often the two terms are used interchangeably."
