- Nóta "The main duties of a nuclear safeguards inspector employed by the European Commission may include the following:- carrying out inspections at all stages of the nuclear fuel cycle in nuclear facilities (This involves checking the technical features of installations, accuracy and consistency of the nuclear accounting statements as well as examining the supporting evidence and verifying the physical inventory by carrying out and analysing quantitative and qualitative measurements, taking samples, applying containment and surveillance measures and drafting detailed reports.);- taking part in the development of specific safeguards mechanisms for each nuclear installation;- developing, preparing, calibrating, installing and maintaining the equipment and instruments;- preparing, participating in and following-up meetings/negotiating with internal (other Commission services) and external (other EU institutions, Member States, national authorities, nuclear operators, international organisations, etc.) stakeholders.Reference: European Commission > Notice of open competition > EPSO/AD/330/16 — Administrators in the field of nuclear energy (AD 7) for the following profiles: 1.
