Cuireadh an chaibidlíocht maidir leis an gComhaontú Cuimsitheach Aeriompair idir Ballstáit Chomhlachas Náisiúin na hÁise Thoir Theas, agus an tAontas Eorpach agus a Bhallstáit, (“an Comhaontú”) i gcrích go rathúil an 2 Meitheamh 2021.
The negotiations for the Comprehensive Air Transport Agreement between the Member States of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations, and the European Union and its Member States (‘the Agreement’) were successfully completed on 2 June 2021.
Chuige sin, meastar, tráth a shíneofar an Comhaontú, go ndéanfaidh an tAontas agus a Bhallstáit agus Ballstáit Chomhlachas Náisiúin na hÁise Thoir Theas ráiteas (“ráiteas ó na Páirtithe”) go ndéanfaidh siad, i gcomhréir lena ndlíthe agus a rialacháin is infheidhme, gach beart is gá chun an Comhaontú a thabhairt i bhfeidhm a chaoithiúla agus is féidir.
To that effect, it is envisaged that, on the occasion of the signing of the Agreement, the Union and its Member States and the Member States of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations make a statement (‘the statement by the Parties’) that, in accordance with their applicable laws and regulations, they will take all steps necessary to bring the Agreement into force as expediently as possible.

The signing, on behalf of the Union, of the Comprehensive Air Transport Agreement between the Member States of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations, and the European Union and its Member States is hereby authorised, subject to the conclusion of the said Agreement.
