Remarks in particular that the EDPB Secretariat’s legal team drafted over 60 % of the guidelines, opinions, recommendations and statements adopted by EDPB in 2020, as follows: 13 guidelines, 2 recommendations, 32 opinions, its first dispute resolution binding decision, and legal advices; underlines that that the Supervisor attended all 27 EDPB plenary meetings which took place in 2020; points out that much of the work carried out by the EDPB takes place within expert subgroups, each relating to a specific area connected to data protection, and that the Supervisor participates in all EDPB expert subgroups and acts in many files as co-rapporteur or lead rapporteur;

Gan dochar don Mheabhrán Tuisceana idir an MECS agus an BECS an 25 Bealtaine 2018, go háirithe pointe VI(5) de, feidhmeoidh an Stiúrthóir na cumhachtaí atá dílsithe don Údarás Ceapacháin de réir bhrí Airteagail 2 de Rialacháin Foirne oifigigh an Aontais Eorpaigh a leagtar síos le Rialachán (CEE, Euratom, CEGC) Uimh. 259/68 agus na cumhachtaí atá dílsithe don té atá údaraithe conarthaí fostaíochta de réir bhrí Airteagail 6 de na Coinníollacha Fostaíochta seirbhíseach eile den Aontas Eorpach a dhéanamh a leagtar síos le Rialachán (CEE, Euratom, CEGC) Uimh. 259/68 agus le cumhachtaí gaolmhara eile a eascraíonn as cinntí rialacháin eile, laistigh de raon feidhme an MECS agus de chineál idir-institiúideach araon, sa mhéid nach bhforáiltear a mhalairt le cinneadh an Mhaoirseora Eorpaigh ar Chosaint Sonraí maidir le feidhmiú na gcumhachtaí atá dílsithe san Údarás Ceapacháin agus sa té atá údaraithe conarthaí fostaíochta a dhéanamh.
Without prejudice to the Memorandum of Understanding between the EDPS and the EDPB of 25 May 2018, in particular point VI(5) thereof, the Director shall exercise the powers vested in the Appointing Authority within the meaning of Article 2 of the Staff Regulations of officials of the European Union laid down by Council Regulation (EEC, Euratom, ECSC) No 259/68 and the powers vested in who is authorised to conclude contracts of employment within the meaning of Article 6 of the Conditions of Employment of other servants of the European Union laid down by Regulation (EEC, Euratom, ECSC) No 259/68 and any other related powers resulting from other administrative decisions both internal to the EDPS or of an inter-institutional nature, insofar as the decision of the European Data Protection Supervisor on the exercise of the powers vested in the Appointing Authority and in who is authorised to conclude contracts of employment does not provide otherwise.
