    D’eagraigh Uachtaránacht na Fraince ar Chomhairle an Aontais Eorpaigh, i gcomhar leis an tSeirbhís Eorpach Gníomhaíochta Seachtraí (SEGS) agus le Gníomhaireacht an Aontais Eorpaigh um Chibearshlándáil (ENISA), cleachtadh cás-bhunaithe go luath in 2022, ar a dtugtar EU CyCLES (‘Cyber Crisis Linking Exercise on Solidarity’), agus é mar aidhm aige sin feasacht a mhúscailt ar an leibhéal polaitiúil agus comhar a neartú idir an leibhéal oibríochtúil agus an leibhéal polaitiúil i gcás cibearionsaí mórscála.

    The French Presidency of the Council of the European Union, together with the European External Action Service (EEAS) and the European Union Agency for Cybersecurity (ENISA) organised a scenario-based exercise in early 2022, called EU CyCLES (Cyber Crisis Linking Exercise on Solidarity), with the aim of raising awareness at the political level and strengthening cooperation between the operational and political levels in case of a large-scale cyber-attack.

    Building on the current Prüm Decision, which provides a framework for Member States to deploy law enforcement officers for joint operations such as joint patrols, the Commission and the French Presidency of the Council of the European Union sent a joint letter to all Member States to identify needs, and requesting deployment of police officers, in order to launch joint patrols in the EU frontline Member States most affected by mass border crossings arising from the war.
