[9] Hague Convention of 15 November 1965 on the Service Abroad of Judicial and Extrajudicial Documents in Civil or Commercial Matters.
ciallaíonn "Coinbhinsiún na Háige" Coinbhinsiún na Háige dar dáta 15 Samhain 1965 ar Sheirbheáil Doiciméad Dlíthiúil agus Seachdhlíthiúil in Ábhair Shibhialta nó Tráchtála ar an gCoigríoch;
"The Hague Convention" means the Hague Convention of 15th November 1965 on the Service Abroad of Judicial and Extrajudicial Documents in Civil or Commercial Matters;

( c ) In a case where the person to be served is in another State which is a party to The Hague Convention of 15th November 1965 on the Service Abroad of Judicial and Extrajudicial Documents in Civil or Commercial Matters, service shall be effected in accordance with the provisions of that Convention (which may include service by post under paragraph (a) hereof provided the State of destination has not made an objection to such service under Article 10 (a) of The Hague Convention.

(1) The provisions of The Hague Convention of 15th November 1965 on the Service Abroad of Judicial and Extrajudicial Documents in Civil or Commercial Matters (hereinafter referred to as The Hague Convention) shall apply to proceedings brought in the District Court by virtue of the Conventions.

Where Regulation (EC) No 1393/2007 is not applicable, Article 15 of the Hague Convention of 15 November 1965 on the Service Abroad of Judicial and Extrajudicial Documents in Civil or Commercial Matters shall apply if the document instituting the proceedings or an equivalent document had to be transmitted abroad pursuant to that Convention.

This Regulation should prevail over the provisions contained in bilateral or multilateral agreements or arrangements concluded by the Member States that have the same scope of application as this Regulation, in particular the Hague Convention of 15 November 1965 on the Service Abroad of Judicial and Extrajudicial Documents in Civil or Commercial Matters in relations between the Member States party thereto.

This Regulation shall prevail in relation to matters to which it applies over other provisions contained in bilateral or multilateral agreements or arrangements concluded by Member States, and in particular the Hague Convention of 15 November 1965 on the Service Abroad of Judicial and Extrajudicial Documents in Civil or Commercial Matters, in relations between the Member States party thereto.
