—(1) This Act may be cited as the Rates on Agricultural Land (Relief) Act, 1956 .

(2) Dá réir sin, déantar leis seo na focail “leis na hocht mbliana” a chur in ionad na bhfocal “leis na cúig bliana” mar a bhfuil na focail dheiridh sin in alt 1 den Acht um Rátaí ar Thalamh Thalmhaíochta (Faoiseamh), 1953 , arna leasú le fo-alt (2) d'alt 1 den Acht um Rátaí ar Thalamh Thalmhaíochta (Faoiseamh), 1956 , sa tagairt don bhliain airgeadais áitiúil dar chríoch an 31ú lá de Mhárta, 1954, agus do na cúig bliana airgeadais áitiúla ina dhiaidh sin.
(2) Accordingly, the word "eight" is hereby substituted for the word "five" where the latter word occurs in section 1 of the Rates on Agricultural Land (Relief) Act, 1953 , as amended by subsection (2) of section 1 of the Rates on Agricultural Land (Relief) Act, 1956 , in the reference to the local financial year ending on the 31st day of March, 1954, and the five following local financial years.
