Ós rud é gur orgánaigh bheo iad miocrorgánaigh, tá gá le cur chuige sonrach le hais substaintí ceimiceacha, chun an t-eolas eolaíoch atá ar fáil faoi láthair agus a bailíodh maidir le bitheolaíocht na miocrorgánach, amhail a bpataigineacht agus a n-ionfhabhtaíocht, an mheitibilít nó na meitibilítí arb údar imní iad a d’fhéadfaí a tháirgeadh agus an cumas frithsheasmhacht fhrithmhiocróbach a aistriú chuig miocrorgánaigh eile atá pataigineach agus a fhaightear i dtimpeallachtaí Eorpacha, rud a d’fhéadfadh difear a dhéanamh d’éifeachtacht na bhfrithmhiocróbach a úsáidtear i leigheas an duine nó sa tréidliacht.

Since micro-organisms are living organisms, a specific approach is needed compared to chemical substances, in order to also take into account the currently available scientific knowledge that has been gathered on the biology of micro-organisms, such as on their pathogenicity and infectivity, the possible production of metabolite(s) of concern and the capacity to transfer anti-microbial resistance genes to other micro-organisms which are pathogenic and occurring in European environments, potentially affecting the effectiveness of antimicrobials used in human or veterinary medicine.

Commission Regulation (EU) 2022/1438 of 31 August 2022 amending Annex II to Regulation (EC) No 1107/2009 of the European Parliament and of the Council as regards specific criteria for the approval of active substances that are micro-organisms (Text with EEA relevance)

A mhéid a bhaineann le substaintí gníomhacha ar miocrorgánaigh iad, áirítear ar an eolas eolaíoch atá ar fáil faoi láthair eolas maidir leis an measúnú ar an bpataigineacht atá ag baint le miocrorgánaigh do dhaoine, ionfhabhtaíocht víreas agus an cumas atá ag baictéir chun géinte frithsheasmhachta frithmhiocróbaí a aistriú chuig miocrorgánaigh eile, rud a d’fhéadfadh difear a dhéanamh d’éifeachtacht na bhfrithmhiocróbach a úsáidtear i leigheas an duine nó sa tréidliacht.

As regards active substances that are micro-organisms, currently available scientific knowledge includes knowledge regarding the assessment of pathogenicity of micro-organisms to humans, infectivity of viruses and the capacity of bacteria to transfer anti-microbial resistance genes to other micro-organisms, potentially affecting the effectiveness of antimicrobials used in human or veterinary medicine.

Commission Regulation (EU) 2022/1438 of 31 August 2022 amending Annex II to Regulation (EC) No 1107/2009 of the European Parliament and of the Council as regards specific criteria for the approval of active substances that are micro-organisms (Text with EEA relevance)

  15. #2512091

Maidir leis an bhfrithsheasmhacht fhrithmhiocróbach go sonrach, le staid reatha eolais eolaíoch maidir leis an gcumas atá ag miocrorgánaigh géinte frithsheasmhachta frithmhiocróbaí a aistriú, is féidir cur chuige níos fearr agus níos sonraí a ghlacadh i leith measúnú a dhéanamh ar cé na géinte a ionchódaítear don fhrithsheasmhacht fhrithmhiocróbach is dócha a aistreofar chuig miocrorgánaigh eile, agus ar cé na frithmhiocróbaigh is ábhartha do leigheas an duine nó don tréidliacht.

Specifically on anti-microbial resistance, the current state of scientific knowledge on the capacity of micro-organisms to transfer antimicrobial resistance genes allows for a better and more specific approach for the assessment of which genes encoding for antimicrobial resistance are likely to be transferred to other micro-organisms, and which antimicrobials are those relevant for human or veterinary medicine.

Commission Regulation (EU) 2022/1438 of 31 August 2022 amending Annex II to Regulation (EC) No 1107/2009 of the European Parliament and of the Council as regards specific criteria for the approval of active substances that are micro-organisms (Text with EEA relevance)
