The EAFRD should support, through technical assistance, actions relating to the implementation of rural development programmes, including the costs related to the protection of symbols and abbreviations relating to Union quality schemes for participation in which support may be granted under this Regulation and costs of the Member States for the delimitation of areas facing natural constraints.

Ag cur san áireamh gur síneadh an sprioc go dtí 2019 le haghaidh teorannú nua a dhéanamh ar limistéir, seachas limistéir shléibhe, a bhfuil srianta nádúrtha orthu trí Rialachán (AE) 2017/2393 ó Pharlaimint na hEorpa agus ón gComhairle, agus go bhfuil tréimhse oiriúnaithe níos giorra ann d'fheirmeoirí nach mbeidh incháilithe a thuilleadh le haghaidh íocaíochtaí, ba cheart na híocaíochtaí idirthréimhseacha céimhlaghdaitheacha nach dtosófar go dtí 2019 a thosú ag méid nach mó ná 80 % de na meáníocaíochtaí arna socrú i gclárthréimhse 2014-2020.
Taking into account the extension to 2019 of the deadline for the new delimitation of areas facing natural constraints other than mountain areas through Regulation (EU) 2017/2393 of the European Parliament and of the Council and the shorter adaptation period for farmers who will no longer be eligible for payments, degressive transitional payments that only start in 2019 should start at no more than 80 % of the average payments fixed in the 2014–2020 programming period.
