(1) An application under section 20 (4) of the Act for an order concerning expenses or their apportionment shall be preceded by the issue and service of a notice in the Form 92.1, Schedule C, signed by the applicant or solicitor for the applicant; which notice shall be served upon the occupier or the owner, as the case may be, of the building or land to which the fire safety notice relates, and upon the fire authority which served the fire safety notice.

—(1) A fire authority may serve on the owner or occupier of any building which appears to the authority to be a potentially dangerous building a notice (in this Act referred to as a fire safety notice) in accordance with this section.

(4) I gcás ina gceanglaítear le fógra um shábháilteacht ó dhóiteán aon obair a dhéanamh agus go líomhnóidh an t-úinéir nó an t-áititheoir gur cheart gur ar an áititheoir nó an úinéir a bheadh caiteachas iomlán nó cuid de chaiteachas na hoibre, féadfaidh sé ordú a iarraidh ar an gCúirt Dúiche maidir leis na caiteachais nó lena gcionroinnt agus beidh dlínse ag an gCúirt cibé ordú is cóir léi a dhéanamh.
(4) Where a fire safety notice requires the carrying out of any work and the owner or occupier alleges that the whole or part of the expense of the work should be borne by the occupier or owner, he may apply to the District Court for an order concerning the expenses or their apportionment and the Court shall have jurisdiction to make such order as it thinks just.

(5) Where a fire authority is of the opinion that a flammable, explosive or potentially explosive substance is used, stored or deposited adjacent to buildings in such a manner as to represent a serious danger to life, the authority may serve a fire safety notice on the owner or occupier of the land on which the substance is used, stored or deposited requiring the taking of specified measures to reduce the danger to a reasonable level.

(7) A fire precautions notice in force under the Fire Brigades Act, 1940 , immediately before the commencement of this section shall continue in force and shall be deemed to be a fire safety notice.

—(1) Aon duine ar a seirbheálfar fógra um shábháilteacht ó dhóiteán féadfaidh sé, laistigh de cheithre lá dhéag ó dháta na seirbheála, achomharc a dhéanamh chun na Cúirte Dúiche i gcoinne an fhógra ar aon fhoras nó forais acu seo a leanas:
—(1) A person on whom a fire safety notice is served may, within fourteen days from the date of service, appeal against the notice to the District Court on any one or more of the following grounds:

(8) (a) Fógra um réamhchúram in aghaidh dóiteáin a sheirbheálfar faoin Acht Briogáideacha Tóiteáin, 1940 , laistigh de cheithre lá dhéag roimh thosach feidhme an ailt seo, measfar gur fógra um shábháilteacht ó dhóiteán é agus glacfar leis gur tagairt d'úinéir nó d'áititheoir an fhoirgnimh tagairt san fhógra do dhílseánach.
( 8 ) ( a ) A fire precautions notice served under the Fire Brigades Act, 1940 , within fourteen days before the commencement of this section shall be deemed to be a fire safety notice and a reference in the notice to the proprietor shall be taken as a reference to the owner or occupier of the building.
