    Article 28-2 (Processing of Pseudonymous Data) (1) A personal information controller may process pseudonymized information without the consent of data subjects for statistical purposes, scientific research purposes, and archiving purposes in the public interest, etc.

    Airteagal 28-3 (Srian ar Shonraí faoi Ainm Bréige a Chomhcheangal) (1) D’ainneoin Airteagal 28-2, maidir le faisnéis faoi ainm bréige á próiseáil ag rialaitheoirí faisnéise pearsanta difriúla chun críoch staidrimh, taighde eolaíoch agus chun taifid a chaomhnú ar mhaithe le leas an phobail, etc., déanfaidh institiúid speisialaithe a bheidh ainmnithe ag an gCoimisiún um Chosaint nó ceannaire na gníomhaireachta riaracháin láir gaolmhaire an phróiseáil sin.

    Article 28-3 (Restriction on Combination of Pseudonymous Data) (1) Notwithstanding Article 28-2, the combination of pseudonymized information processed by different personal information controllers for statistical purposes, scientific research and preservation of records for public interest, etc. shall be conducted by a specialized institution designated by the Protection Commission or the head of the related central administrative agency.

    Airteagal 28-4 (Oibleagáid Bearta Sábháilteachta a Dhéanamh le haghaidh Sonraí Faoi Ainm Bréige) (1) Nuair a bheidh an fhaisnéis faoi ainm bréige á próiseáil, déanfaidh rialaitheoir faisnéise pearsanta na bearta teicniúla, eagraíochtúla agus fisiciúla sin amhail faisnéis bhreise a stóráil agus a bhainistiú ar leithligh, ar faisnéis í is gá chun an fhaisnéis a athchóiriú go mbeidh sí ina riocht bhunaidh, de réir mar is gá chun an tsábháilteacht a áirithiú mar a fhorordaítear le Foraithne ón Uachtarán chun nach ndéanfar an fhaisnéis phearsanta a chailleadh, a ghoid, a nochtadh, a bhrionnú, a athrú ná a dhamáistiú.

    Article 28-4 (Obligation to Take Safety Measures for Pseudonymous Data) (1) When processing the pseudonymized information, a personal information controller shall take such technical, organizational and physical measures as separately storing and managing additional information needed for restoration to the original state, as may be necessary to ensure safety as prescribed by Presidential Decree so that the personal information may not be lost, stolen, divulged, forged, altered, or damaged.

    Caibidil III, Roinn 3 Cásanna Speisialta a bhaineann le Sonraí faoi Ainm Bréige (Airt. 28-2 go dtí Airt. 28-7) lena gceadaítear faisnéis faoi ainm bréige a phróiseáil gan toiliú an ábhair sonraí chun staidreamh a thiomsú, taighde eolaíoch a dhéanamh, taifid phoiblí a chaomhnú, etc. (Airteagal 28-2), ach sna cásanna sin, is sainordaitheach coimircí agus toirmisc iomchuí is gá chun cearta ábhar sonraí a chosaint (Airteagail 28-4 agus 28-5), féadfar formhuirir pionóis a fhorchur ar sháraitheoirí (Airteagal 28-6) agus ní bheidh feidhm ag coimircí áirithe atá ar fáil ar bhealach eile faoi PIPA (Airteagal 28-7).

    Chapter III, Section 3 Special Cases concerning Pseudonymous Data (Art. 28-2 to Art.28-7) allows the processing of pseudonymised information without the consent of the data subject for the purpose of compiling statistics, scientific research, preservation of public records, etc. (Article 28-2), but in such cases, appropriate safeguards and prohibitions necessary for protecting the rights of data subjects are mandatory (Articles 28-4 and 28-5), penalty surcharges may be imposed on violators (Article 28-6) and certain safeguards otherwise available under PIPA do not apply (Article 28-7).
