    The Convention on Road Traffic concluded at Vienna on 8 November 1968 (the ‘Vienna Convention on Road Traffic’), to which Ukraine is a party, provides for certain rules which allow for the recognition of driving permits under certain conditions.

    Where a person enjoying temporary protection or adequate protection under national law in accordance with Directive 2001/55/EC and Implementing Decision (EU) 2022/382 is in possession of a valid driving licence issued by Ukraine, Member States shall not require the presentation of its certified translation or an international driving permit, as referred to in Article 41(2) of the Vienna Convention on Road Traffic.
