Is mar a leanas a bhí an fhoclaíocht sa mhaíomh a mhol an t-iarratasóir: ‘Rannchuidíonn béite-ghlúcain ó choirce agus/nó eorna i ngránach bricfeasta réamhullmhaithe a ithe le laghdú ar an ardú ar ghlúcós fola tar éis an bhéile sin’.

Mar sin féin, níor leor an fhianaise a soláthraíodh chun éifeacht a bhunú ar fhreagairtí glicéime iarbhéile a laghdú ag dáileoga 1.3 g béite-ghlúcan in aghaidh 25 g de charbaihiodráit a bhí ar fáil agus a ionchorpraítear i ngránaigh bhricfeasta réamhullmhaithe a mhonaraítear trí chócaireacht i mbrú-chócaire (i.e. baisc-chócaireacht nó easbhrú), mar a d’iarr an t-iarratasóir.

However, the evidence provided had been insufficient to establish an effect on reduction of post-prandial glycaemic responses at doses of 1,3 g beta-glucans per 25 g of available carbohydrate incorporated into ready-to-eat breakfast cereals manufactured by pressure cooking (i.e. either batch cooking or extrusion), as requested by the applicant.
