Le Cinneadh Uimh. 555/2014/AE ó Pharlaimint na hEorpa agus ón gComhairle, rinne an tAontas ranníocaíocht airgeadais leis an gClár Méadreolaíochta Eorpach um Nuálaíocht agus Taighde (EMPIR) is cóimhéid le ranníocaíocht na stát atá rannpháirteach in EMPIR ach nach mó ná EUR 300000000, ar feadh fhad Fís 2020.
By Decision No 555/2014/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council, the Union made a financial contribution to the European Metrology Programme for Innovation and Research (EMPIR) matching that of the states participating in EMPIR but not exceeding EUR 300000000, for the duration of Horizon 2020.

The Participating States have agreed upon the implementation structure for the predecessor initiatives, namely, the European Metrology Research Programme (EMRP) and EMPIR.

Ós rud é go raibh struchtúr rialachais EURAMET éifeachtúil agus d’ardcháilíocht le haghaidh chur chun feidhme EMPR agus EMPIR, de réir thuarascáil na meastóireachta eatramhaí ar EMPIR, ba cheart EURAMET a úsáid freisin chun an Chomhpháirtíocht um Méadreolaíocht a chur chun feidhme.
Given that, according to EMPIR’s interim evaluation report, the governance structure of EURAMET has proved to be efficient and of high quality for the implementation of the EMRP and EMPIR, EURAMET should also be used to implement the Metrology Partnership.

Ba cheart gníomhaíochtaí nua a áireamh sa Chomhpháirtíocht um Méadreolaíocht i gcomparáid le EMPIR, agus, go háirithe, forbairt líonraí Eorpacha méadreolaíochta, ar cheart a bhunú ar bhealach oscailte trédhearcach agus é mar aidhm leofreagra a thabhairt ar dhúshláin phráinneacha shochaíocha agus chomhshaoil agus riachtanais mhéadreolaíochta ó theicneolaíochtaí agus nuálaíochtaí atá ag teacht chun cinn.
The Metrology Partnership should include new activities compared to EMPIR, and, in particular, the development of European metrology networks, which should be established in an open and transparent manner with the aim of responding to pressing societal and environmental challenges and metrology needs from emerging technologies and innovations.
