    In this letter the ENVI Chair indicates that he will recommend to the members of the ENVI Committee, and subsequently to the plenary, that they approve the Council's position at first reading without amendments at the European Parliament's second reading, subject to verification by the lawyer-linguists of both Institutions.

    An lá céanna, chuir Cathaoirleach Choiste ENVI in iúl do Chathaoirleach Coreper I, trí bhíthin litreach, gur i gcás go dtíolacfadh an Chomhairle a seasamh go foirmiúil chuig Parlaimint na hEorpa mar a comhaontaíodh, ach sin faoi réir fíorúchán dlítheangeolaíoch, go molfadh sé, in éineacht leis an Rapóirtéir, don Seisiún Iomlánach go nglacfaí seasamh na Comhairle gan aon leasú ar an dara léamh sa Pharlaimint.

    On that same day, the Chair of the ENVI Committee informed, by means of a letter, the Chair of Coreper I that, should the Council transmit formally to the European Parliament its position as agreed, subject to legal-linguistic verification, he would, together with the rapporteur, recommend to the plenary that the Council’s position be accepted without amendments at Parliament’s second reading.
