The ETIAS screening rules should be used to analyse an application file by enabling a comparison between the data recorded in it and specific risk indicators corresponding to previously identified security, illegal immigration or high epidemic risks.

If the data present in a record, file or alert registered in one of the EU information systems, Europol data, the Interpol SLTD or TDAWN databases, the ETIAS watchlist, or the ETIAS screening rules giving rise to such a decision are deleted before the end of that five-year period, the application file shall be deleted within seven days from the date of the deletion of the data in that record, file or alert.

The ETIAS screening rules shall be an algorithm enabling profiling as defined in point 4 of Article 4 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 through the comparison in accordance with Article 20 of this Regulation of the data recorded in an application file of the ETIAS Central System with specific risk indicators established by the ETIAS Central Unit under paragraph 4 of this Article pointing to security, illegal immigration or high epidemic risks.

I gcomhréir le hAirteagal 39(1) den Rialachán sin, féadfaidh na húdaráis a liostaítear i mír 1 den Airteagal seo sonraí staidrimh traschórais agus tuairisciú anailíseach a úsáid chun tuarascálacha agus staidreamh inoiriúnaithe a fháil d'fhonn tacú le cur chun feidhme rialacha ETIAS maidir le scagadh dá dtagraítear in Airteagal 33, chun feabhas a chur ar an measúnú ar na rioscaí slándála, na rioscaí inimirce neamhdhleathaí agus na hardrioscaí eipidéime, chun feabhas a chur ar éifeachtúlacht na seiceálacha teorann agus chun cuidiú le Láraonad ETIAS agus le hAonaid Náisiúnta ETIAS iarratais ar údarú taistil a phróiseáil.”
In accordance with Article 39(1) of that Regulation, cross-system statistical data and analytical reporting shall allow the authorities listed in paragraph 1 of this Article to obtain customisable reports and statistics, to support the implementation of the ETIAS screening rules referred to in Article 33, to improve the assessment of the security, illegal immigration and high epidemic risks, to enhance the efficiency of border checks and to help the ETIAS Central Unit and the ETIAS National Units process travel authorisation applications.’;
A mhéid is féidir agus i gcás inarb ábhartha, ba cheart na rialacha, na nósanna imeachta agus an struchtúr rialachais maidir leis na táscairí riosca sonracha a ailíniú leo sin le haghaidh rialacha ETIAS maidir le scagadh, mar a leagtar síos in Airteagail 9, 10 agus 33 de Rialachán (AE) 2018/1240.
To the extent possible and where relevant, the rules, procedures and governance structure for the specific risk indicators should be aligned with those for the ETIAS screening rules, as laid down in Articles 9, 10 and 33 of Regulation (EU) 2018/1240.
