The EDPS shall cooperate with national supervisory authorities and with the joint supervisory authority established under Article 25 of Council Decision 2009/917/JHA with a view to, in particular:

In order to improve the consistency of data protection supervision, the European Data Protection Supervisor should cooperate closely with the Joint Supervisory Authority set up under Council Decision 2009/917/JHA [6], with a view to achieving coordination of the audits of the CIS.

The European Data Protection Supervisor shall coordinate with the Joint Supervisory Authority, set up under Council Decision 2009/917/JHA, each acting within the scope of their respective competence, with a view to ensuring coordinated supervision and audits of the CIS.

The European Data Protection Supervisor shall cooperate with national supervisory authorities and with the joint supervisory authority established under Article 25 of Council Decision 2009/917/JHA to the extent necessary for the performance of their respective duties, in particular by providing each other with relevant information, asking each other to exercise their powers and responding to each other’s requests.
