    Leis an gClár Oibre Nua Scileanna don Eoraip, a ghlac an Coimisiún an 10 Meitheamh 2016, tugtar cuireadh do Bhallstáit, do na comhpháirtithe sóisialta, don tionscal agus do gheallsealbhóirí eile comhoibriú ar dheich ngníomh chun feabhas a chur ar cháilíocht agus ar ábharthacht i bhfoirmiú scileanna, chun scileanna a dhéanamh níos infheicthe agus níos inchomparáide, agus chun feabhas a chur ar an bhfaisnéis maidir le scileanna, go háirithe faisnéis maidir le roghanna gairme níos fearr.

    The New Skills Agenda for Europe, adopted by the Commission on 10 June 2016, invites Member States, social partners, industry and other stakeholders to work together on ten actions to improve the quality and relevance of skills formation, to make skills more visible and comparable and to improve skills intelligence and especially information for better career choices.

    I gcomhréir le tosaíochtaí an Chláir Oibre do Scileanna Nua don Eoraip, a leagtar amach sa teachtaireacht ón gCoimisiún an 10 Meitheamh 2016, go háirithe maidir le feabhas a chur ar mheaitseáil scileanna agus chun dul i ngleic le ganntanais scileanna, moltar do na Ballstáit, i gcás inarb iomchuí, tar éis dul i gcomhairle leis na comhpháirtithe sóisialta, liostaí a thiomsú de na hearnálacha fostaíochta a bhfuil ganntanas oibrithe ardcháilithe acu.

    In line with the priorities of the New Skills Agenda for Europe, set out in the Commission communication of 10 June 2016, in particular to improve skills matching and to tackle skills shortages, Member States are encouraged, where appropriate, after consulting the social partners, to compile lists of sectors of employment which face a shortage of highly qualified workers.

    The ESF+ should also contribute to relevant aspects of the implementation of key Union initiatives and activities, in particular the Commission communications of 10 June 2016 entitled ‘A new Skills Agenda for Europe’, of 30 September 2020 entitled ‘European Education Area’, and of 7 October 2020 entitled ‘A Union of Equality: EU Roma strategic framework for equality, inclusion and participation’ as well as the Council Recommendations of 15 February 2016 on the integration of the long-term unemployed into the labour market, of 19 December 2016 on Upskilling Pathways, of 30 October 2020 on A Bridge to Jobs – Reinforcing the Youth Guarantee and of 12 March 2021 on Roma equality, inclusion and participation.
