Féadfaidh an Ríocht Aontaithe agus an tAontas, ag gníomhú dó thar ceann aon cheann dá Bhallstáit, fógra a thabhairt don Choiste Speisialaithe um Fhorfheidhmiú an Dlí agus um Chomhar Breithiúnach go bhfuil sé toimhdithe, i gcaidreamh le Stáit eile a bhfuil feidhm ag an bhfógra céanna maidir leo, go bhfuil toiliú tugtha maidir le hionchúiseamh, pianbhreith nó coinneáil d'fhonn pianbhreith choimeádta nó ordú coinneála a chur i gcrích i leith ciona arna dhéanamh roimh thabhairt suas an duine, seachas an cion ar tugadh suas é nó í mar gheall air, ach amháin go ndéanann an t-údarás breithiúnach forghníomhaitheach a mhalairt a shonrú ina bhreith maidir leis an tabhairt suas i gcás faoi leith.
The United Kingdom and the Union, acting on behalf of any of its Member States, may each notify the Specialised Committee on Law Enforcement and Judicial Cooperation that, in relations with other States to which the same notification applies, consent is presumed to have been given for the prosecution, sentencing or detention of a person with a view to the carrying out of a custodial sentence or detention order for an offence committed prior to the person's surrender, other than that for which that person was surrendered, unless in a particular case the executing judicial authority states otherwise in its decision on surrender.
