(1) Beidh na feidhmeanna breise seo a leanas ag an Stiúrthóir Gnóthaí Tomhaltóirí agus Cóir-Thrádála—
(1) The Director of Consumer Affairs and Fair Trade shall have the following additional functions—

(2) The office of Director of Consumer Affairs shall be known as the office of the Director of Consumer Affairs and Fair Trade and the holder of the office shall be known as the Director of Consumer Affairs and Fair Trade.

Aon fhoráil de na Rialacha seo á cheangal ar achomharcóir chun na Cúirte Cuarda, nó ar iarratasóir ar chás sonraithe, dul i gcúirtbhanna, ní bhainfidh sí leis an Ard-Aighne, leis an Stiúrthóir Ionchúiseamh Poiblí, leis an Stiúrthóir Gnóthaí Tomhaltóirí agus Cóir-Thrádála, le haon Aire den Rialtas ná le haon Aire Stáit ná le hoifigeach do cheachtar Aire acu sin, le hoifigeach ná comhalta den Gharda Síochána ag gníomhú dó nó di i gcáil oifigiúil, ná le hoifigeach do na Coimisinéirí Ioncaim ag gníomhú dó nó di i gcáil oifigiúil.
Any provision of these Rules requiring an appellant to the Circuit Court or an applicant for a case stated to enter into a recognisance shall not apply to the Attorney General, the Director of Public Prosecutions, the Director of Consumer Affairs and Fair Trade, any Minister of the Government or any Minister of State or an officer of either such Minister, an officer or member of the Garda Siochana acting in an official capacity, or to an officer of the Revenue Commissioners acting in an official capacity.

ciallaíonn “an Stiúrthóir” sealbhóir oifig an Stiúrthóra Gnóthaí Tomhaltóirí a bunaíodh le halt 9 den Acht um Fhaisnéis do Thomhaltóirí, 1978 , agus ar a dtugtar an Stiúrthóir Gnóthaí Tomhaltóirí agus Cóir-Thrádála de bhua alt 5 (2) den Acht seo;
"the Director" means the holder of the office of Director of Consumer Affairs established by section 9 of the Consumer information Act, 1978 , and known as the Director of Consumer Affairs and Fair Trade by virtue of section 5 (2) of this Act;
