(3) Bainfidh na hAchtanna Airí agus Rúnaithe, 1924 go 1959, agus an tAcht um Fhianaise Scríbhinne, 1925 , leis an Roinn Saothair agus leis an gcomhalta den Rialtas a bheidh i mbun na Roinne sin amhail is dá mbeadh an Roinn sin arna bunú le halt 1 den Acht Airí agus Rúnaithe, 1924 .
(3) The Ministers and Secretaries Acts, 1924 to 1959, and the Documentary Evidence Act, 1925 , shall apply to the Department of Labour and the member of the Government who is in charge thereof as if that Department had been established by section 1 of the Ministers and Secretaries Act, 1924 .

(4) Chun críocha alt 6 (1) den Acht Airí agus Rúnaithe (Leasú), 1939 , measfar an Roinn Saothair agus oifig an Aire Saothair a bheith arna mbunú láithreach ar an Acht seo a rith, ach in aon ordú a dhéanfar maidir leis an Roinn sin nó maidir leis an Aire sin, faoin alt sin 6 (1) roimh an lá ceaptha, ní dhéarfar an t-ordú sin a bheith le teacht i ngníomh ar dháta is luaithe ná an lá ceaptha.
(4) For the purposes of section 6 (1) of the Ministers and Secretaries (Amendment) Act, 1939 , the Department of Labour and the office of Minister for Labour shall be deemed to have been established immediately upon the passing of this Act, but any order which is made, in relation to that Department or that Minister, under the said section 6 (1) before the appointed day shall not be expressed to come into operation on a date earlier than the appointed day.

"(1A) Notwithstanding section 72, the Minister may, with the consent of the Minister for Finance, make regulations providing that, for the purposes of a scheme administered by the Department of Labour and known as the Enterprise Allowance Scheme, a person accepted into that Scheme who, if he had continued to be unemployed, would be entitled to continue to receive pay-related benefit, shall be entitled, subject to such conditions as may be specified in the regulations, to receive such benefit in the form of a lump sum equivalent to the amount which he would otherwise have received in respect of the unexpired portion (subject to a maximum of 26 weeks) of the relevant period of interruption of employment.".
