    Accordingly, the Convention is compatible with existing international instruments, in particular the 2000 United Nations Convention against Transnational Organized Crime and its protocols, the 2003 United Nations Convention against Corruption, the 2001 Council of Europe Budapest Convention on Cybercrime and its protocols, but also other relevant international and regional instruments, in particular relating to the protection of human rights and fundamental freedoms.

    Each Party confirms its commitment to take adequate measures to prevent and fight corruption, money laundering, terrorism financing, tax fraud and tax evasion, with regard to matters covered by this Agreement, in accordance with internationally agreed standards that have been endorsed or are supported by that Party, such as the United Nations Convention against Corruption adopted by the United Nations General Assembly on 31 October 2003 and the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (hereinafter referred to as "OECD") Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises of 2011, as well as the current standards in the field of international taxation.
